I just finished another couple of birds that will be listed on Ebay come Sunday, Feb. 21 for the TDIPT launch, "Birds of a Feather Create Together".
The bluebird is a little more simple than the painted Robin.....but I'm liking the way it has turned out :)

TDIPT Fall Swap Goodies

Once again, TDIPT had a swap - and I tell ya, each one just gets better!
I was fortunate to be swap partners with Patty of Dogpatch Primitives, and MAN o MAN did she bless me with all kinds of goodies....AND I got them on my birthday to boot! :)

TDIPT Candy Corn Carnival on Ebay

So it's been awhile since TDIPT has done a launch on Ebay, and Patty of Dogpatch Primitives (our awesome TDIPT group leader), came up with the brilliant idea to do one starting this Sunday, Aug. 2, with the theme "Candy Corn Carnival".

Now it wasn't easy for me to come up with something to fit into that theme, I dug deep into the distorted and humorous recesses of my brain and imagination, I managed to get this guy done up today.
He's a shelf sitter - another of my Stumpy Dolls, and is OoAK.


I think he's got the perfect Used Car Salesman smirk on his face, don't you? :) This next week though, he'll be on Ebay trying to push candy corn...

TDIPT SWAP

We are just finishing up our Spring Swap in TDIPT, and yesterday I received my package from Deb, of Bittersweet Pastimes.

She really loaded me with lots of goodies - chocolates, honey glazed nuts, mixes for 2 different kinds of dips, some new embroidery scissors, a wonderful red wooden caddy, and this adorable little Ewe, who has a heart on the front, which is a pin cushion, and a place to hold the little scissors.

Everyone in TDIPT is so generous, and each swap just gets better! We are like kids at Christmas, when the swaps start coming in, and are all eager to see what all everyone has received from their swap sister.

A Sneak Peek

Tomorrow night between 9 - 10 p.m. Eastern, the TDIPT Mercantile will be updated, and I'm excited to see what all everyone has for the New Year!
Here's a sneak peek at one of my offerings - I'm in this farm animal mood, and drew out this guy and then got Bill to help me with the assembling of the legs in the stand and he came up with the idea as to how to do his feet. He says it's a rooster like Foghorn Leghorn - one of my ALL time favorite cartoons....lol "Say, I say Boy"....Oh how I wish cartoons were still as funny as they were when I was a little girl!

He's made from vintage feed sack, and I've used overlapping feather stitches in ivory, yellow and deep red to accentuate his tail feathers, wings, and feathers around his neck.

I'm considering making a pattern for him and putting it on Pattern Mart.

My TDIPT Swap Package

OK...today I finally got my TDIPT Swap package from Linda of Simple Treasures!

All of us girls in the group LOVE to do swaps, and each time, they get more and more exciting, as we wait to see who gets what from whom...

Here's what sweet Linda sent me...

A precious Santa dressed in a quilt jacket and soft white cap and britches. His boots have teensy lil bells and fur tops. He has a goodie bag filled with greenery and berries, a vintage looking ornie, and even has a sweet lil teddy bear to sit on his lap. I LOVE bears, and this will make a great addition to my collection.

Another beautiful handmade of Linda's - a snowcone folk that has sweet annie tucked in the back, and OMG it smells SO yummy!

And last, but certainly not least, is all kinds of yummies - candles, chocolate, coffee, Santa stickers, a bundle of sweet annie, note cards.....
I am so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful talented bunch of the "givin-ness" ladies on the earth!

TDIPT's Winter Wonderland Launch

Coming November 2 - 9 - TDIPT's Ebay Launch - Winter Wonderland
Be sure you check out all the wonderful items offered by this group of highly talented women, who will offer their high-quality, unique handmade items.
Some of the items I'll be offering are:

• A 30+" Snow Bunny, dressed in Vintage white chenille, and Vintage Dusty Pink Wool

I wanted to also mention that I also have been very busy making these little cinnamon ornies, which will I offer in shapes of stars and snowflakes. Some have been painted and sanded, then are dusted with German Glass Glitter, and some will come with their natural brown color, sprinkled with German Glass Glitter. The ones which are painted, have the appearance of vintage tin ornaments. Their hangers are natural raffia, and they come in sets of (3) and would look great on your Primitive decorated Christmas tree, or another great idea to use them for is to adorn the fronts of your gifts, instead of a traditional bow. White Christmas

TDIPT is having our second annual "White Christmas" event, starting November 1, 2008. All of our talented artists will be offering their unique handmade items, decked out in whites and creams.

We will be having a drawing for a $50.00 gift certificate, which is good towards the purchase of any item on the Mercantile. You must be on the newsletter mailing list in order to get the chance of having your name drawn, so if you are not on there yet, click here (http://www.tdiptmercantile.com/) to go the the homepage of our group, where you can sign up. It's a two part process, so be sure to wait to get your confirmation of being on the list. Each item you purchase on the Mercantile will give you one extra chance at having your name pulled!
We're very excited, and to keep the suspense, no one in the group is going to do any kind of previews before their items are submitted on the Mercantile. Remember, the updates are on the 1st and the 15th of the month.

TDIPT Autumn Swap

Well let me tell ya, this group I was blessed to join, TDIPT - To Dwell in Primitive Thymes, is one fantastic group of the most talented and generous women I've ever known!

We have been doing a "Secret Swap" for Autumn, and Cookie of Curds -n - Whey headed it up for us. She started a thread for us to answer questions about our decorating tastes for Autumn, and the questions were also about the things we like such as : candles, chocolates, etc. Once everyone filled out their info, Cookie, with the help of her dear hubby, emailed each of us to tell us who our secret swap sister was.

The swap packages were to be sent out by today, 09/10/08, and the excitement and anticipation of seeing the pictures posted in our group from the girls as they each receive their packages has been a blast! We were all ready to mow down our mailmen and/or UPS drivers, and as one member stated, "throw out spike strips"! LOL

I got my package today! I was looking out the front door to see if my mailman had come by, and lo and behold - there on my front doorstep was a giant box from DHL. When I saw that it had come from Kansas, I knew immediately that Cookie had drawn MY name, and I wish I had a video of me trying to rip apart that box to get to the wonderful goodies I knew were inside!

I had mentioned that I like the simplicity of Pilgrims, and Cookie made me the most beautiful kneeling and praying Pilgrim Dollie that I've ever seen. She is embellished with vintage buttons and lace, has a tag that says "PRAY", and just has the most peaceful face.

In addition to my beautiful new doll that will be sitting out YEAR ROUND, I got all kinds of goodies: chocolates, candle, a large mug filled with gourmet coffee and hot chocolate, handmade glass-glittered pumpkins, cards with old hyms and vintage photos, "girlie goodies" to pamper myself in the tub with, and a cute little pin that reads, "CAFFEINE NOW"...
