New Dolls for the TDIPT Mercantile

Here are a couple of preview pics of the two Pilgrim Dolls I'll be putting on the TDIPT Mercantile for October 1. This is a set - they will not be sold seperately.

TDIPT Autumn Swap

Well let me tell ya, this group I was blessed to join, TDIPT - To Dwell in Primitive Thymes, is one fantastic group of the most talented and generous women I've ever known!

We have been doing a "Secret Swap" for Autumn, and Cookie of Curds -n - Whey headed it up for us. She started a thread for us to answer questions about our decorating tastes for Autumn, and the questions were also about the things we like such as : candles, chocolates, etc. Once everyone filled out their info, Cookie, with the help of her dear hubby, emailed each of us to tell us who our secret swap sister was.

The swap packages were to be sent out by today, 09/10/08, and the excitement and anticipation of seeing the pictures posted in our group from the girls as they each receive their packages has been a blast! We were all ready to mow down our mailmen and/or UPS drivers, and as one member stated, "throw out spike strips"! LOL

I got my package today! I was looking out the front door to see if my mailman had come by, and lo and behold - there on my front doorstep was a giant box from DHL. When I saw that it had come from Kansas, I knew immediately that Cookie had drawn MY name, and I wish I had a video of me trying to rip apart that box to get to the wonderful goodies I knew were inside!

I had mentioned that I like the simplicity of Pilgrims, and Cookie made me the most beautiful kneeling and praying Pilgrim Dollie that I've ever seen. She is embellished with vintage buttons and lace, has a tag that says "PRAY", and just has the most peaceful face.

In addition to my beautiful new doll that will be sitting out YEAR ROUND, I got all kinds of goodies: chocolates, candle, a large mug filled with gourmet coffee and hot chocolate, handmade glass-glittered pumpkins, cards with old hyms and vintage photos, "girlie goodies" to pamper myself in the tub with, and a cute little pin that reads, "CAFFEINE NOW"...
