A simple little prim snowman has just been added to my website.

He's made from stained muslin, and wears a cap and scarf made from vintage wool. Two vintage buttons and "Let it Snow" adorn the front of his body. Wired chenille stems are used for his arms...

Perfect to tuck in with other Primitive Christmas dolls and greenery

I'm T*A*R*D*!!!!

Whewwwwwww........I stayed up until almost 1 a.m. last night, after receiving the long awaited email from DIY, that my store was ready to have graphics and inventory loaded.
I had previously had my site with them, so I knew my way around pretty good.
I wanted to at least get my buttons and backgrounds loaded, and when I did, I just wasn't thrilled with the colors or look, so I played around until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and started all over again bright and early this morning.
I spent literally allllllll day long playing on Photo Shop, and searching through the various help threads on DIY to tweek my site to where I would be somewhat satisfied....lol
I'm pretty picky about some things, and really wanted to give my site an "Extreme Makeover - Web Addition", and I can say right now, that I'm pretty pleased with the look.
Check it out - the new and improved Little Sister's Dolls!

While you're there, if you aren't already one of my subscribers to my newsletter, there's a spot on the homepage where you can sign up by entering your email addy.
A button on the left side of the home page will take you to a separate page, where you can read the perks of being a subscriber.

Thanks for looking.....I'm calling it a NIGHT!

Working on Graphics

I have been having so much fun playing with graphics on Photo Shop today!
In preparing for my re-opening of Little Sister's Dolls website, I decided to give my hand a try at doing my own graphics, and am quite pleased with the color combination, as well as the backgrounds I'll be using to give my site a whole new look.

I decided to feature my Santas on my logo, as they are what I love to make the most, and are usually what sells the best for me.

Look for my announcement of the Grand RE-Opening :)

Happy Monday

Today after going to do my routine Monday grocery shopping and laundry, I dug out some things from a box that was stuck way back in one of my closets, and found this stained dollie that I never did anything with.

She just looked like she wanted to be a grungy little Raggedy, and I just can't make myself make a traditional type of anything, much less a Raggedy Ann. I like to add a little humor and whimsy, and this doll is so dang rediculous looking, it makes me laugh... :)

She's now for sale on my website.

Have a great Monday!

Hippity Hoppity - Easter's on it's Way

She's got stained little feet from prancing in the Easter Parade!

She stands easily on her own!
I told ya I was on a bunny kick...lol
This sweet lil girl is now available on my website, which can be found by clicking the link to the right.
She is made from stained muslin and is string jointed. She stands at 14" or so - depending on how you bend her chenille wired ears, and sits at about 10".
Her dress has a dark purple cotton print bodice and the sleeves and skirt are a wonderful multi-colored Easter Egg cotton print. Her apron is a vintage hand embroidered table linen and is hand gathered and tied in back.
She would be a great gift for someone's Easter basket! :)
Thanks again, for looking!

New Lil Bear on My Website

Yesterday I just felt like making a lil bear, and this is how he turned out. I jointed him with vintage buttons, because I ran out of my hardboard discs and cotter pins, but am pleased with the look.
He's made from a vintage wool blanket, and his ears are lined with vintage velvet, which has been stained for an aged appearance. His eyes are glass loops, sewn in, and I've used cotton floss to stitch his nose and mouth.
He's stuffed with wood excelsior in his paws, with a little bit of polyfil where I had to joint his arms and legs.
His body is filled with plastic pellets and wood excelsior, to give it weight and a floppy-ness, as an old bear would have.
Around his neck, he's got a piece of stained cheesecloth and a tag with "B" stamped on.
He's for sale on my website at http://www.littlesistersdolls.com/, for a very low price of $15.00

FREE SHIPPING on My Website

I know this economy has hurt everyone's pocketbook, and sometimes the things we want might have reasonable prices, but then the shipping costs prevent us from being able to go ahead and purchase that much wanted item, so I'm offering FREE SHIPPING on my website at: www.littlesistersdolls.com, through the end of November.
All you have to do is when you get to the checkout area, in the coupon code section, type in Nov08, and no shipping charges will be added to your total.
I've got a little bit of everything in my store right now, in just about every price range, so I hope you'll pop over and take a peek to see if there's something there you just can't live without; perhaps purchase for a teacher's gift, or something to wrap up for that special friend or loved one.
While there, make sure you sign up for my monthly newsletter, where I send out specials each month, and give a little heads up on things I'm presently working on.
Thanks much!

A New Look

I played around with my website today - wanted a little more color in the different backgrounds. I stuck a temporary logo in there, featuring my first Elf Doll I did this year, and am going to get Jan of Big Brown Dog Primitives to do me a new logo when she has a little more time to fiddle with such things.

For now, I'm happy with the way it looks. It's just like hair color and hair do's - I get bored after awhile and have to mix things up! :)

Please take time to check out my website and let me know whatcha think! :)
