January 10 - A Very Special Day

There are two reasons why January 10 is a very special day in my life.
First, it was my Mamaw Willis' birthday. She's the beautiful lady to the right, who I honor on my page. She was my Paternal grandmother, and a beautiful woman of God. Her name Sarah, means Beautiful Princess - thus the reason I named my daughter after her. She exuded the love of Jesus to not only we grandkids, but to everyone she ever met. I never heard ONE word come out of her mouth that wasn't uplifting or positive in some way - she was never critical towards anyone, but would find something good to say.
You know that old saying, "If you don't have anything good to say, say nothing at all"? Well, my Mamaw lived that statement.
She went home to heaven in 1978 - I'd just turned 20 and gotten married. Thank God we drove up to Memphis to see her after we got back from our honeymoon, because she died just a couple of weeks later. I so look forward to seeing her in Heaven!
Another wonderful thing about January 10 is that on this day in 2005, I was at home and channel surfing on the television. I stopped on The 700 Club, as there was an interesting story about a woman who'd been suffering back pains for years, and God healed her.
Well as I watched this amazing story, in my heart and in my head I was saying, "why not me, Lord"? I'd been having problems with my siatic nerve for over 20 years and had terrible pain daily, and especially at night when I'd try to lay down and go to sleep - there was no relief. If you've ever had siatica, you know what I'm talking about.
So after this woman's story ended, Pat Robinson and the other lady who co-hosts the show, said they were going to pray for the needs of people. When they began to pray, Pat Robinson said, "There's a woman out there in the television audience who just watched that story, and has said, 'why not me, Lord'?
Let me tell ya, my mouth DROPPED when I heard that! He then said, "The Lord has heard you, and is telling me to tell you that right now, He is completely healing a pinched nerve in your hip that has been causing you siatica for years - you will never have this again".
I felt this warmth down my left leg and the pain was GONE! I sat there crying and thanking the Lord - still in shock that the word he'd given to Pat Robinson was SO specific to little ole ME!
I immediately called Bill and told him when he came home from work, there was a tv show that was going to re-air, and he HAD to watch it with me. He was even more shocked than I was I think - he wasn't raised in a church that believed in healing, much less someone getting a Word of Knowledge from the Lord. I think on January 10, 2005, my husband then began to believe in such things.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him all creatures here below
Praise him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost

Thank you Jesus, for your unfailing love to me.... Janelle

Oh Janelle, thank you so much for sharing your story. It is so encouraging, uplifting and full of our hope. Our young Colton (11) needs healing and just hearing your story reminds me to keep seeking.

Hugs,
