Fruit of Righteousness

Today I'm beginning a study in the NT, the book of Philippians. It was written by Paul, and starts off with a "thank you" to those who had given him food and shelter on his missionary journey.
I'm focusing in on verses 9 - 11 which say,"And this is my prayer; that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be pure and blameless until the day of Jesus Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God".
This too is my prayer for anyone reading this - that your love towards Jesus, and your knowledge of who He is, will bring you closer to being the spotless bride of Christ when He comes for the church. That your relationship with Him will be reflected, so that all around you can see Him through you. In that - God will be glorified and your life will be a testimony which will bring others into that same loving relationship with our precious Lord.
He is to be our first priority - the LORD of our life, and when he is put in that place of honor in our life, everything else will fall in line as it should. He will be there for us when we need a provider - Jehovah Jireh; he will be there when we need peace in our life - Jehovah Shalom; he will be there for us when we need someone to protect and guide us - Jehovah Raah . No matter what need we have in our life - God can and will fulfill it if we only ask him.
May today bring you nothing but the richest blessings of our Lord, Jesus - the author and finisher of our faith.

Janelle
