Christian Living

Hebrews 13:1 - 3 says, "Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so, some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering".
This is just basic common sense living as a Christian. Jesus has called us to lead the same kind of life as he led - one of grace and compassion, kindness, generosity. We need to all ask the Lord to let us see others as he sees them, and exhibit to them the same words and actions that he would.
The other thing we need to do as believers is to pray for those in prison, whether it's a physical prison, or a spiritual prison. Jesus came to set the captives free, and he has imparted the Holy Spirit to us, and He enables us to pray for their deliverance from sin, into a life of freedom.
As you prepare for the holiday weekend, take the time to remember and pray for those who aren't able to be with their families.
Have a blessed day!
