A Farewell to Paul Newman

I was saddened today to hear that cancer took the life of Paul Newman. He was an incredible actor, and a rare breed in Hollywood, in that he and his wife Joann Woodward didn't succumb to the normal Hollywood activity of seeing how many times you could cheat on your spouse and/or remarry.

To say he was extremely handsome is an understatement. Even at the age of 82, he still made many women swoon!

I think my first memory of a movie I saw him when I was a child was, "Cool Hand Luke"...."what we have here....is failure to communicate"....

"The Sting" is in one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time as well. Not only because it was such a great movie, but that my daddy was the one to take me to see it, and I got STUNG! :)

My heart goes out to Joann Woodward and his children, as they mourn the death of their beloved Paul.

I agree Janelle ~ he was a wonderful person and shared his wealth without the spotlights. I had a friend that once saw him in person and he told me that his eyes were truly that blue... I remember Cool Hand Luke being my first movie I saw him in as well. His grin was infectious... *sending prayers to his family and all he effected in his life* xox
